Cherry firewood provides medium heat and burns slowly, making it good for home and restaurant barbecues or smoking. Although it’s not good kindling, cherry firewood is good for burning in a campfire or fireplace, and its blue flame can be fun to watch for restaurant patrons and campfire participants.
Cherry trees are most commonly known for the fruit they produce, but they can be difficult to grow due to their need for rich soil. These trees can grow up to 25 feet tall (bush or dwarf cherry trees can grow up to 12) and are typically grown in the Eastern part of the U.S. in groups, due to their need to pollinate each other.
